    Loved your last line. Sums it up perfectly. As a recent LDS California transplant that moved up here AFTER the Prop 8 fiasco, I can't seem to escape the Constitutional neglect by those whose dogma dictates that they are the ones who will uphold it as it hangs by a thread. Echoing the words of a favorite Bad Religion song: "I can't relate to you..."

    As an expat, the only experience I have with Mormons (outside my immediate family) is mostly of the online variety. Even though most LDS bloggers are probably already atypical Mormons to begin with, many of the faithful ones sure seem to have become comfortable treating Prop 8 as a less-than-noble effort. For example, the upshot of this recent BCC post:

    Q: How did the Mormons finally get to meet the Pope?
    A: Prop 8.
